FRONT DESK SHIFT LEAD

Hours: 26-28 hours, mostly evenings, and some weekends

Summary:

As Front Desk Shift Lead you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance, productivity, and efficiency of the front desk. You must ensure that all front desk duties are conducted in a correct, and timely manner daily. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills along with an acuity to problem-solve.

Customer service is paramount, you will be the example for the rest of the staff to mirror.

You will be responsible for keeping staff engaged by encouraging, motivating, and creating a positive work environment. This role will collaborate with operational management to work toward an effective and unified team.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Ensure daily tasks are complete during your shift.

  • Assist with scheduling, shift management, and coverage for employees.

  • Assist with inventory and ordering.

  • Help lead your team at the front desk, holding them accountable and empowering them to excel in their positions.

  • Assist with employee performance reviews every 6 months to ensure productivity and resolve employee problems.

  • Collaborate with operational management to find weak points and strong points to change or develop.

Customer Service:

  • Lead front desk staff in excellent customer service practices, meeting needs, and selling products.

  • Greet every customer with a smile. Be kind. Show them you care.

  • Our members are our priority. Every customer is valuable, but our members come first.

Requirements:

  • Adequate knowledge of the bouldering industry.

  • Strong leadership qualities and capabilities.

  • Efficient in multitasking and decision-making.

  • Ability to effectively communicate within all levels of the company.

Compensation:

  • Pay rate: $16-$18/hour depending on experience

  • Year-end bonus tied to individual and company-wide performance.
