Routesetting & Grading
The
Circuit System
A system of overlapping colors that represent route difficulty and progression.
About Circuits
Each climber has their own distinctive strengths, challenges, and general preferences. Circuits help climbers measure personal progression in relation to their subjective experience.
How To Use Circuits
Circuits are represented by a colored start tag and include a diverse set of routes within a range of two v-grades. Most people start with pink and work their way through the colors as they progress.

Meet The Routesetters
About The Team
The routesetting team is an important part of the Terra Firma climbing experience and community. Each setter brings their own unique gifts to the space that are reflected in movement, complexity, and style.
Weekly Routesetting
Each week, the setters put up fresh routes for Terra Firma visitors. There’s always something new to climb! The setting team loves to connect with all climbers entering the facility, so if you see Jesse, Matt, Charlie, or Hope, be sure to say hello!
