Current Classes
Megan
Megan grew up outside of Chicago, where she began practicing yoga in high school. After years exploring on her mat, she completed her first yoga teacher training through CorePower Yoga. She deepened her understanding of the practice with two more trainings while living in Seattle. Megan and her family moved to Grand Rapids in 2014, and the team and her opened Kula Yoga not long after. Her classes are both accessible and challenging, with a strong focus on safe alignment, steady breath, pushing limits, and really tapping into the fluid flow that is Vinyasa.
Danea
Daneas practice began in 2010, but became more serious in 2017 when she discovered both Buti Yoga and Vinyasa at Kula. Feeling called to share the practice, she completed her Yoga Teacher Training at Kula with Megan. After graduation, she certified in Buti Yoga, DEEP, and Hotcore, Restorative Yoga, Yin Yoga and The Yoga of 12 Step Recovery. She teaches to share the groundedness, freedom of self, and deep connection that the practice has given to her. Danea aims to support each student on their own journey through classes focused on creative movement, alignment, and challenge, both physically and mentally.
Caroline
Caroline began practicing yoga while living abroad with limited access to more familiar forms of movement. She loved the simplicity of a yoga practice combined with the intensity she felt throughout class. Caroline is so excited to share the boundless potential of a steady yoga practice with the Terra Firma community, while continuing her own journey of growth and self-discovery.
